About IQAC

In this current era of education reforms of Government of India the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University system has become instrumental for enhancing quality education in this country’s educational institution. Since, quality enhancement is a continuous process IQAC will channelize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence.

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution.
  • Making “Quality Enhancement” as an integral part of the institutional functioning – internalization and Institutionalization of quality enhancement initiatives.
  • To assure all the stakeholders the accountability of the institution for its own quality.
Functions

Quality Improvement Activities

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  • Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Preparation of the Annual reports based on the quality parameters.
Strategies

IQAC facilitates and contributes to:

  • A heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement and facilitates internalization of the quality cultur
  • The enhancement and integration among the various activities of the institution and to institutionalize many good practices.
  • Providing a sound basis for decision making to improve institutional functioning.
  • Acting as a change agent in the institution.
  • The betterment of internal communication.
Assistances

IQAC evolves mechanisms and procedures for:

  • Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic and administrative tasks.
  • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation.
  • Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure.
  • The relevance and quality of academic and research programmes.
  • Channelize the efforts and measures of institution towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance for academic excellence.
